Privacy policy

What we collect
- No accounts or mailing lists: you can use EmbassyPin without signing up or giving us an email address.
- Analytics: we may use privacy-friendly, cookie-less analytics to count page views. [Placeholder – specify the tool once chosen.]
- Map tiles: the map loads tiles from OpenStreetMap's servers, which receive your IP address as part of the request (see the OSMF privacy policy).
Affiliate links
When you click an affiliate link, the partner may set cookies to attribute the referral. Their privacy policy applies.
Visitor statistics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful (for example pages viewed, country, device and how you found us). It does not tell us who you are, and we do not use it for advertising. Visitors in the EU, UK and Switzerland are only counted if they accept the cookie notice; you can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
Contact form
Messages sent through our contact form are delivered to us via our form provider (Formspree) and used only to answer you; the optional email address is used only to reply.
