Legal
Terms of use
Last updated: October 24, 2026.
These terms explain the rules for using EmbassyPin. They are written in plain English for a small, free information site.
Using this site
By using embassypin.com you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Information only
EmbassyPin is a free directory for general information. Addresses, phone numbers, opening hours, fees and appointment rules change often, and our data may be out of date, incomplete or wrong. Always confirm the address, hours and appointment requirements on the official website of the embassy, consulate or mission before you go. Nothing on this site is legal, immigration or travel advice. Translated pages are provided for convenience only. See our disclaimer.
Not a government website
EmbassyPin is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any government, embassy, consulate, permanent mission or the United Nations, including the U.S. government. We do not process applications, book consular appointments or accept documents or payments for consular services.
No warranty and limitation of liability
The site and its data are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent allowed by law, EmbassyPin is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on its information – for example a missed appointment, a wasted trip or a refused application. Some places do not allow certain limits on liability, so some of these limits may not apply to you.
Paid links and featured listings
EmbassyPin is free because some pages carry paid (affiliate) links, marked “Paid links”. If you book or buy through them we earn a commission from partners such as Booking.com (via Stay22), Aviasales, Yesim, Airalo, Radical Storage and AirHelp (several via Travelpayouts), at no extra cost to you. Paid placements for local services, if offered, are marked “Sponsored”. Partners and advertisers are independent businesses: we don’t vouch for their products or services, your purchase is with them under their terms, and they never change the consulate data. See our disclaimer.
Third-party websites
We link to official government websites, map providers, partners and other sites we don't control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, products, prices or privacy practices; their own terms apply.
Acceptable use
Please use the site fairly. Don't scrape or crawl it in a way that overloads or harms it, don't try to break or bypass its security, and don't misuse the contact form (no spam, advertising, abuse or automated submissions). If you need the data, use our open download (CSV or JSON) instead of scraping.
Open data license
Our downloadable directory data (CSV, JSON) combines OpenStreetMap data with other public sources, so it is made available under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0. If you use it, credit “EmbassyPin and © OpenStreetMap contributors”; if you publicly share an adapted version of the database, it must also be under the ODbL. Details: data README.
Intellectual property
The site design, text and logo are © EmbassyPin. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL); additional data comes from Wikidata (CC0), NYC311 and official consulate websites. Photos, fonts and software are used under their own licenses, listed on our credits page. Country names and flags are used only to identify each country; other trademarks and brand names belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.
Copyright and corrections
If you believe something on EmbassyPin infringes your copyright, or a listing is wrong, please tell us through the contact page (for listing errors, use report a change). Include a link to the content in question and, for copyright, a description of the work and your contact details. We will review it and remove or correct material where appropriate.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
